My name is Christopher
J.
Claytor and I plan to run for the office of United States
Representative to Congress for the 3rd
District of Texas in
2010.
Why? There
are many, many reasons.
First and foremost is my displeasure with the way the current members
of Congress are operating.
The current leaders
are acting like spoiled rich children. They have no concept of
fiscal responsibility, and in their zeal to enjoy themselves, and do
things in an attempt to make "friends," they spend money at an ever
increasing pace, borrowing money they don't have and they can't pay
back.
How does the governement keep getting someone to lend them money when
most citizens are having a tough time? They use their "parents"
(all current and future U.S. income taxpayers), as co-signers.
Enough already! Just like a frustrated parent eventually
says NO to the spoiled kid in college who keeps sending home notes
"send more money," we (taxpayers) must do the same.
How? Working within the democratic system we here in
America have enjoyed for more than 225 years, please excercise your
right to
vote. Vote every time the opportunity is presented.
And vote for anybody other than an incumbant person or
party. Its time for "real
change." The 2008
elections showed us that you can not expect that from any incumbant
person or party. We must
vote differently if we are to
expect a different result.
I am different.
I am a Libertarian...
I stand for
fiscal
responsibility and smaller
government. Not the ever increasing
deficit spending government of the current leaders in office.
I promote individual responsibility over asking our "big brother" to
take
care of us.
I am
socially
tolerant, desiring that every American should be able to live their
life the way they want,
(as long as they do not infringe on the rights of others to do the
same).
I promise to
fight to ensure you enjoy the
stated freedoms in the Constitution
of the United States and the Bill
of Rights, just as I did when I swore an oath to support and defend
the
Constitution on the parade field at the United States
Military Academy at West Point.
Please take the
time to consider all of the candidates and their stance on the issues
carefully before
deciding who to vote for.
I hope that
after careful deliberation you will decide that a vote for Claytor
is the only option to put our nation back on a path toward being
fiscally responsible!
Thank you.

Prep for 2010 Campaign:
If you are ready to do something to stop
the Federal Government from giving away all your hard earned tax
dollars, to undeserving businesses, organizations, and /or people,
please
consider...
a) Join "Downsize DC" or other lobby /
interest group that seeks to reduce spending and lower taxes
b) Write your current leaders
frequently, urging them to vote NO on any spending increases or any
budgets that are not ballanced.
c)
Participate in any and all elections. When we as citizens
chose to ignore what government is doing, it will grow, and put us all
further and further into debt! (Local May 2009 elections
had
only a 7.0% (seven percent) turnout -- all bonds were approved --
our taxes are going up!)
d)
Donate: If you believe as I do, and wish to assist in my campaign
