My name is Christopher
J.
Claytor and I filed paperwork to seek the nomination of the
Libertarian Party to run for the office of
United States
Representative to Congress for the 3rd
District of Texas in
2012.
However, due to re-districting, I needed the support of LP members at
the County Convention on 3/17/2012, vice the DIstrict Convention in
previous years, and unfortunately I did not receive the
nomination. It is too late to file as an Independent, and
too costly to file as an official write-in candidate.
Therefore, I will not be able to run against the long-time incumbent
Sam
Johnson this election. My name will not appear on the 2012 ballot.
It is very
dissapointing that I will not be able to provide an alternative to the
incumbents as I strongly feel l the current members of Congress have
been completely
ineffective at reducing spending and reducing the deficit.
In fact, current forecasts indicate the United States is heading to....
How do we stop this? (Assuming you even care. ) Easy... vote for someone different!
Please vote for
someone Other Than the Incumbant (for ANY office)!
Preferably,
someone that...
... stands
for
fiscal
responsibility and smaller
government. Not the ever increasing
deficit spending government of the current leaders in office.
...promotes individual responsibility over asking our "big brother" to
take
care of us.
...is
socially
tolerant, desiring that every American should be able to live their
life the way they want,
(as long as they do not infringe on the rights of others to do the
same).
And...
...promises
to
fight to ensure you enjoy the
stated freedoms in the Constitution
of the United States and the Bill
of Rights.
Please
take the
time to consider all of the candidates and their positions on the
issues
carefully before
deciding who to vote for.
I hope
that
after careful deliberation you will decide to vote for someone new!
